West German army

(TNBX01) Team Yankee release the NATO / West German Leopard 1 Tank Platoon in plastic. These can be used in your Nato or West German army. Though lightly armoured, the Leopard 1 tank is fast and well armed, with a 105mm L7 gun that is more than capable of dealing with any scouting vehicles of Warsaw Pact.

(TGBX01) Team Yankee release the West German Leopard 2 Panzer Zug in plastic. The Leopard 2 came about from the joint German-US ‘Battle Tank 70’ program, which was abandoned after costs rose above what the West German government was willing to spend. However, out of the ashes arose a phoenix, the outstanding Leopard 2 main battle tank.

(TGBX18) Team Yankee release the West German Leopard 2A5 Panzer Zug in plastic. Initially known as Leopard 2 Improved, but later designated Leopard 2A5, the new model introduced wedge-shaped, spaced add-on armour to the turret front and the frontal area of the hull sides. The new spaced armour modules are designed to defeat the jet of a hollow charge or high-explosive anti-tank round prior to it reaching the base armour.

(TGBX16) Team Yankee release the West German Kanonenjagdpanzer Zug in resin and metal. Although obsolete for frontline use, Heimatshutzkommando find this nimble and low set vehicle excellent. With a 90mm main gun and two MGs, the Kanonenjagdpanzer can be devastating against enemy strongpoints.

(TGBX02) Team Yankee release the West German Marder Zug in plastic. The West Germans are one of the innovators of the infantry fighting vehicle concept. The Marder was the first such vehicle to see service in NATO from 1971. Named after the Marder ('marten' in English), a member of the weasel family, it is armed with a MG3 machine-gun and a 20mm Rh 202 auto-cannon to provide the panzergrenadiers with fire support, and can also mount the powerful Milan anti-tank missile system.

(TGBX19) Team Yankee release the West German Marder II Zug in plastic. Compared to the original Marder, the Marder 2 is an entirely new vehicle, which shares only the name and general layout. The armored protection of the Marder 2 was rated to withstand a 30mm AP round frontally and a 14.5mm round at all other angles.

(TGBX09) Team Yankee release the West German M113 Panzermörser Zug in plastic.The Panzergrenadier Battalions had their very own artillery in the form of 120mm M120 mortars mounted in modified M113 armoured personnel carriers.

(TGBX06) Team Yankee release the West German Fuchs Transportpanzer in resin and metal. The Fuchs (Fox) Transport-panzer (abbreviated to TPz) is a 6-wheeled, fully amphibious, armoured personnel carrier designed for a variety roles including troop transport, engineer transport, bomb disposal,

(TGR712) Team Yankee release the West German Fallschirmjäger Zug in metal. Heimatschutz Jäger riflemen are the last line of defence, defending their own homes from the red threat. These older and wiser troops know their battleground intimately, even if their reflexes are not what they used to be.

(TGR708) Team Yankee release the West German Fliegerfaust Gruppe in metal. The FIM-43 Redeye was a man-portable surface-to-air missile system, which used infrared track its target - hence its name. In West German service it was known as the Fliegerfaust 1.

(TGR001) Team Yankee release the West German Wiesel FK 20mm Flugabwehr Zug in resin and metal. Of the 343 Wiesel Armoured Weapons Carriers produced, 133 were built with a one-man turret equipped with a Rheinmetall Mk 20 Rh-202 20mm autocannon. In this configuration, the Wiesel can be deployed as both a highly maneuverable reconnaissance and fire support vehicle.
