This is a very detailed kit these where mainly used by the well known DR “Dispatch Riders” for communication between different units, were converted from civilian bikes with small changes, like military colour and the addition of frames for the canvas bags.

Italeri release the WW2 German Millitary motorcycle combination in 1/9 scale. This is a true replica model kit of the real thing with great detail. In 1938, the German High Command released a directive for a motorcycle and sidecar for use in the German military. The directive was issued to BMW and Zundapp to develop such a capability using as many common components as possible to minimize the logistics required for repairs in the field.
In response to the German Army request BMW produced the R75. The BMW R75 had a 2 wheel drive system, with drive shafts to both its rear wheel and the third sidecar wheel.

Very sturdy and reliable, this motorbike was used by the military Police for surveillance, and by couriers for rapid delivery of messages between front line units, thanks to its good road-holding and the performance of its powerful engine.
